The Brief

A Sales Incentive for the UK team of a management firm. As the client was unsure if targets would be met, we did not receive the brief until December with the group travelling in January – they wanted to ensure targets were hit before they committed to the ski trip.

  • 40 delegates for 4 nights
  • Resort with plenty of skiing for all abilities
  • Easy access to the slopes from the hotel
  • Lively resort with a good après-ski and ability to have access to VIP areas in clubs and bars
  • Good quality accommodation but not a 5* budget

The Solution

We looked at various resorts for this brief, however bearing in mind that this was a lively group, Val d’Isere was chosen even though it was the most expensive option. We were lucky to find space in this popular resort. The hotel was next to the slopes which was great for the mixed ability skiers, plus close to all the bars and clubs.

Highlights & Challenges

  • As the client was unsure if targets would be met, we did not receive the brief until December with the group travelling in January – the result was a very short lead time to source availability in a popular resort
  • Arranging reserved areas in Clubs/bars especially the Folie Douce so a charitable act could take place
  • Organising non-ski activities and making travel arrangements to meet with the ski groups for lunch

Feedback

Many thanks for your help with organising our trip, everyone had a great time! The transfers were good, the driver on the way to the hotel had to deal with a party on the bus and a detour for more drinks and McDonalds but dealt with it well. The hotel was lovely, nice rooms, good location and the staff were really helpful, nice and tolerant of our group as we can be a little lively at times!
