The Brief

A leading drinks company with the most comprehensive portfolio in the industry wanted to incentivise sellers to promote its Swedish vodka brand over a period of time. The location of the incentive had to be in Sweden. A high target was set and only the 10 very best performers would earn a place on this special trip.

  • A link to the drinks brand and availability of product for tasting tests (i.e. the location had to be Sweden)
  • A unique experience with winter activities
  • 10-12 delegates, all in single occupancy rooms as they did not know each other prior to the event
  • Only a 2 night midweek programme so flight routes/timings essential so that the guests maximised their time in the destination
  • A short transfer from a local airport
  • A lively place location

The Solution

We chose Åre in Sweden. Although the flights are indirect, the stop in Stockholm is quick and timings are good, arriving lunchtime and departing late afternoon on the Sunday. We chose this resort (it’s the biggest & most well known in Sweden), because it is snow sure, offers a great variety of non-ski activities AND offers a buzzy après ski & nightlife scene which was also a big box to tick for them!

Highlights & Challenges

  • A quaint & quirky hotel, walking distance to the heart of the resort and their chosen vodka matched the brand created by our client!
  • The snowmobiling safari which took the group across two mountains & a fabulous wilderness stop for lunch
  • A reserved table at THE aprés-ski bar with live music all afternoon- vodka cocktails on tap!
